“About our new green. We recently had one of our synthetic needle punch greens replaced. After much investigation the chosen company was Bioscapes Group (Bio-bowls) Dave Bentley installed a Greengauge woven carpet laid on their new base called Sportscrete. The installation went well with Dave and his team’s commitment and cooperation were second to none. Nothing was to much trouble with the extra thing we asked for. They were easily contactable and very reliable in meeting our requirements. The installation was completed in the limited time frame we set them. It is fairly early days but the management and Hastings bowlers are very happy with the result. Many visitors who have bowled in our winter pennant are also impressed. We are advised that when the carpet has settled, ( up to 6-9 months ) the performance will be even better. The manufacturer of the carpet Greengauge have been great to deal with also making the whole process as pleasant, as possible, with their instruction on maintaining our green.”

The site clean up and hedge restoration met with the approval of the council with no rework required. The final product has met with universal approval from our bowlers and is a pleasure to bowl on.”
