DEER PARK BOWLS CLUB

Deer Park Bowls Club is a well-established community venue in western Melbourne with a thriving bowls program. For this project, we installed two full-size bowling greens using the Greengauge GG3 system — Bowling Green 1 at 37.64m x 39.64m and Bowling Green 2 at 37.64m x 21.44m.

Because the club runs an active, year-round bowls calendar, it was important that the surfaces delivered consistent performance and minimal upkeep. The GG3 system does exactly that, and we’re proud to have contributed to a venue that means so much to its community.

DURING BOWLING GREEN CONSTRUCTION

Every project starts somewhere. First, the site is ready and the team gets to work on the base and ditch construction.

Next, the bonded base takes shape. The team carefully grades and laser-levels each layer for a true, consistent playing surface.

Then the transformation begins. GG3 carpet is rolled out across the prepared base, and both greens start taking shape side by side.

AFTER BOWLING GREEN CONSTRUCTION

Solid progress across both greens. Carpet installation is well underway, and the ditch separation between the two greens is also clearly visible as finishing works wrap up.

Both greens are complete and commissioned. Finally, a smooth, lush surface is ready for play — built to Australian Bowls Standards tolerances.

A close look at the finished surface — vibrant, even, and built to last. These two greens are now ready and waiting for the Deer Park Bowls Club community.
