LIFESTYLE OCEAN GROVE
A well-loved woven carpet bowling green has been gently brought back to life within the Lifestyle Ocean Grove community. First, a careful rescreed restored a smoother, more reliable playing surface. As a result, players can now enjoy a steadier roll and greater consistency underfoot.
At the same time, multi-purpose field received its own refresh. The ground was re-levelled and resurfaced to better support croquet, light fitness, and everyday activity.
Together, these upgrades focus on simplicity and ease of care. More importantly, they help keep these shared spaces welcoming and dependable for the residents who use them each day. The goal remains straightforward — to provide steady, well-kept areas that support active, social living in this relaxed coastal setting.
DURING BOWLING GREEN RESCREED
The team lifted the carpet and underlay section by section to expose the base. This step allowed them to inspect dips and prepare the surface for a fresh rescreed.
They compacted and bonded a new sand layer to form a stable, even surface. This step created the right foundation before stretching the underlay and carpet back into place.
AFTER BOWLING GREEN RESCREED
Once the rescreed was complete, the base felt smooth and level again. The surface was now ready for the underlay and carpet to return.
With the groundwork finished, the team carefully refitted the underlay and carpet. As a result, the bowling surface was restored and ready for club use.
MULTI-PURPOSE FIELD RESCREED & RESURFACING — DURING CONSTRUCTION
Safety barriers were set up as work began shaping the eastern edge. The crew built up the base using fresh rock and sand to strengthen long-term stability.
After that, they positioned and compacted the timber plinths and putting cups. This created a level and dependable structure for the multi-purpose field.
The team laid and groomed the sand-filled turf section by section. Gradually, the field began to take shape and feel ready for activity.

Finally, resurfacing across the area was completed. The result is a clean, even surface prepared for reliable use and active community days ahead.
