MARMONG WATERS
The Marmong Waters community continues to enjoy a welcoming, purpose-built synthetic bowling green—completed with care to bring year-round play to the heart of Lake Macquarie. Working hand-in-hand with residents, we carefully planned and delivered a facility focused on safety, ease of maintenance, and lasting value.
The project brought together robust ground preparation, modern drainage, and a Greengauge woven carpet—precisely installed to meet Australian Bowls Standards. Every detail reflected a commitment to creating a reliable and enjoyable space for all.
Today, Marmong Waters’ green stands as a lasting hub where neighbours gather for bowls, connection, and community—showing the long-term impact of a thoughtful upgrade.
BEFORE & DURING BOWLING GREEN CONSTRUCTION
The prepared sub-base was surveyed and shaped to achieve correct hip and valley profiles, ensuring effective drainage and public safety.
Installation of a solid main ring drain with eight shower grate hook-ups in solid strip footings.
Poly liner installed based on soil report, followed by a second geofabric liner for protection.
New top rock installed and laser graded to Australian Bowls Standards.
Installation of water retention layer and geofabrics before Megaflo drains and rock cover.
AFTER BOWLING GREEN CONSTRUCTION
Following completion of construction, temporary works were removed, the site was thoroughly cleaned, and surplus materials cleared. The green was commissioned and handed over with full documentation and a care manual.
We finished with the GG3 specified 6mm underlay and woven carpet. Built to meet Australian Bowls Standards — and ready for play.
