RV LIFESTYLE VILLAGE OCEANSIDE

RV Lifestyle Village Oceanside is a family-owned lifestyle village on Queensland’s Coral Coast. It sits in the small beach town of Burnett Heads, where resort-style facilities across five acres make it a place residents are genuinely proud to call home.

For this project, we installed a Greengauge GG3 bowling green measuring 40m x 40m. As a result, the village now has a quality covered green to complement its already impressive line-up of facilities. Because residents lead an active social life, the surface needed to play true and stand up to regular use. The GG3 system does exactly that, and we’re glad to have contributed to such a welcoming community.

DURING BOWLING GREEN CONSTRUCTION

First, the site is prepared — raw sub-base exposed and drainage infrastructure positioned. Construction materials are staged and the base build is ready to begin.

Next, the crushed rock base is laid and compacted. Sub-surface drainage connections are also tied into the new solid main ring drain system.

Profiling and shaping are completed beneath the covered structure. As a result, the required formation and design levels are established across the green.

The prepared surface is then trimmed and surveyed. This confirms compliance with the required levels before the liner and drainage layer are installed.

The ring drain and crushed rock base layer take shape along the green’s perimeter. In addition, corefilled block walls and timber plinths are set to laser-graded height.

The poly liner is rolled out across the full 40m x 40m green. This step protects the sub-base and, moreover, ensures long-term drainage performance.

Carpet installation is well underway on both greens. The ditch separation between them is also clearly visible as finishing works continue.

Both greens are now complete and commissioned. Finally, a smooth, lush surface is ready for play — delivered to within Australian Bowls Standards tolerances.
