TRARALGON BOWLS CLUB
Winter projects can be challenging. Even so, our team worked closely with Traralgon Bowls Club to upgrade their natural turf green into a modern synthetic surface.
We combined the skills of our in-house experts with support from trusted local contractors. As a result, the club received a high-quality and cost-effective green and surrounds package. Importantly, the works were finished ahead of schedule, just in time for the Victorian Open.
Now, the renewed facility is more than a sporting surface. It is a welcoming place where people of all ages can gather, play, and share in community life.
BEFORE & DURING CONSTRUCTION
The site as it appeared before construction, ready for transformation into a new GG3 bowling green to enhance play and community amenity.
Removal and secure storage of shade and seating structures, location of services, decommissioning of storm water drains, and responsible removal of concrete and soil.
Sub-base shaped for correct surface levels, installation of the new drainage system, geo-fabric liner laid, and connection of subsurface drainage, followed by rock compaction for a stable foundation.
AFTER CONSTRUCTION
Precise fitting of the GG3 6mm underlay and GG3 woven carpet across the 39m x 39m green, delivering a smooth, high-quality playing surface built to Australian Bowls Standards.
Site made tidy, all temporary works removed, and a thorough project handover with care and maintenance guidance provided for longevity.
